Audience Choice Award

Vancouver International Fringe Festival 2007

**** The LIST (Allan Radcliffe) 23 August, 2007

Virtuoso musicianship and strong, deft footwork.

... a compelling performanec that will have even the stiffest of Edinburgh audiences clapping and shouting along.

THE STAGE, August, 2007 Thom Dibden

... this electrifying show - no confusion here, although with Scotland-based jazz players Chris Ross on drums and Neil Cameron on double bass, there is plenty of jazz fusion.
Garcia is mesmerising on guitar... this is music that shimmers like water in the sun
Dancers Carlos Otero and Claire Marchand provide both a visual treat and an aural one... real precision ... strutting flamboyance ... sensual ... the moves seem as integral as the stamp of their feet to the music, both a reflection and an extension of it.

***** Winnipeg Free Press, July 24, 2007

"striking, dramatic, majestic, Winnipeg's own Claire Marchand (with) guitar virtuoso, Ricardo Garcia ... scorching guitar strumming, knife sharp choreography... a spicing of jazz ... simply a stunner."

LA PRESSE, Montreal Aline Apostelska, June, 2007

"remarquable .... superbe. Un moment magiquequi salue

les rencontres des styles et des talents"

"... a wealth of talent in just three people ... guitarist Ricardo Garcia ... nimble fingers and ear caressing sounds transport(s) us to a moonlit night ... clever ... good natured .... both (dancers Jen Casimir and Leticia Jimenez) excell at their styles .... it has an air of both fun and authenticity."

Three Weeks, Brighton, May 2007

"fascinating, high octane, contemporary flamenco.... you can't go wrong with this. ACE!"

***** The Argus, Brighton May 2007

Garcia plucks out notes on his guitar like droplets ...
When the Flamenco dancer (is) joined by a break dancer .....
it really gets cool.
I just thought it was great.

Ricardo Garcia is both star and backdrop of Flamenco con Fusion ... at FRIGID New York,
not only pleasing, but educational as well.
Throughout, Garcia delivers his beautiful compositions so naturally that it seems his guitar is an extension of his body. His compositions range from high-spirited to melancholy. Jen (Casimir)
... astonishes with her incredible contortions and precarious balance .... a mixture of styles and cultures .... both enlightening and enjoyable.

Best Of The Fringe Georgia Straight21 Sep 2005

"The Georgia Straight presents the Best of the Fringe shows from next Thursday to Sunday (September 22 to 25) at the Waterfront Theatre.
Word has it the choosing was tough this year: judges gave special props to Bonhoeffer,
Flamenco Flow, Lazy Susan, and One Frigid Shiny Knight—none of whose casts could stay for the holdover. Keeners can try catching those four shows during the last weekend of the fest proper, until Sunday.
